WATER HEATING

Liquid Solar works with both homeowners and businesses to sort out the many hot water options and find efficient and/or renewable solutions to save money and significantly reduce energy usage.

It is probably safe to say we take hot water for granted. And we consume a lot:

  • A typical family of four uses 22,000 gallons of hot water per year.

  • A 24-unit apartment building uses 350,00 gallons of hot water per year.

This 7-building affordable housing complex (across from Kenyon Noble on Oak St in Bozeman) uses approximately 1.4 million gallons of hot water per year.

The 16 solar hot water systems meet approximately 70% of the annual demand for hot water so these solar systems have heated 8 million of gallons of water and saved residents approximately $125,000 in water heating costs since it was installed in 2016.
